San Cristobal Hill
The San Cristobal hill. formerly Tupahue (in Quechua: ‘Centinela’) is located in Santiago, the capital of Chile. With an altitude of 880 masl and a prominence of 280 m, it is the second highest point in the city, only surpassed by the Renca hill. The hill is between the communes of Providencia and Recoleta, having at its feet the Barrio Bellavista.
Cerro San Cristóbal is part of a group of mountains, next to the present hills Chacarillas or Tupahue, its brother hill; Los Gemelos and La Pirámide, part of the Metropolitan Park of Santiago, the largest urban park in Chile and one of the largest in the world, 2 with approximately 722 hectares.
